Target Coupons are AMAZING!!

If you go to Target.com & scroll to the bottom of the site, you’ll see this.  A link to “coupons” that you can print up to use in the store.  What’s awesome about these is that you can stack your other coupons on top of the Target coupon.
Example:  Print up the $1.00 off Magnum Ice Cream - Target coupon.  Last week, there was a manufacturers coupon for $1.50 off Magnum Ice Cream.  Making it $2.50 off.
Yesterday, I saw that there were some new printable coupons, so I went to check them out.  Here’s what I printed up:
$3.00 off Women’s shorts (there were no limitations.  you can use this on clearance items also)
$5.00 off a bathing suit top & bottom (must purchase both.  you can use this on clearance items, which makes for a cheap bathing suit)
$0.50 off Up & Up Oral Care item
So, like many couponing sites, you can print up to two coupons of each & I did.  Today, I took back a bathing suit top that I bought the other day, getting back a little over $27 in cash.  I found a pair of jean shorts for me on clearance for $6.98, making it $3.98.  And a pair of cotton shorts for Nunu on clearance for $5.98, making it $2.98.  I then bought Marcel some dental floss (he goes through floss like crazy) using my Up & Up coupon.  It was $0.98 & after my coupon, it was $0.48.
My tip for you all would be to check out these coupons.  They have great deals all the time & stacked with your manufacturer coupons…they’re even better!!

Albertsons Trip Got Sidetracked

Albertsons Trip Got Sidetracked!!
Ok, so i’m back from my shopping trip.  I got sidetracked several time.  Mostly by that small 2 year old of mine who I specifically got the “cool cart” for (the one with the car in the front, so she can drive).  Didn’t work out.
I ended up NOT getting:
*Gain Dish Detergent - It was $2.89.  I read somewhere that most places have it for $0.99.  Maybe Albertsons didn’t offer the smaller bottle.
*Steak - because I forgot we still have some left over from yesterday’s lunch.  enough for a dinner.
*Seattle Best Coffee - they didn’t have it.  or i couldn’t find it.
*Hot Dogs - my coupon was for $0.55 off of Ball Park Deli Style hot dogs.  $0.55 off of $6.87 hot dogs is not a sale.  especially when i can buy a whole tray of chicken thighs for $4.44.
I did get the rest on my list though & then some….
*4 packs Maruchan saimin - $0.25/ea = $1.00
*Albertsons hot dog buns - i had a coupon for another brand, but this was cheaper
*2 boxes of Albertsons pasta - $0.99/ea = $1.98
*Shredded Cheese - $2.79 (i THOUGHT about making tacos, but didn’t buy anything else to make them HELLO?)
*Magnum Ice Cream - $3.99 - $1.50 off coupon = still too much, but it’s SOOOO good.  And i took one to my daddy to try since he’s been wondering if they were good or not.
*2 squash - $0.95  (i like steamed squash & potatoes…i already have potatos lol)
Soooo, my total was $33.58.  Buying the 10 items for the $5.00 promotion, brought my total down to $28.58.  Then I had my 2 - $5 off my next purchase, making my grand - out of pocket total - $18.58.
If i had paid better attention, I would’ve put back the hot dog buns (since i didn’t buy hot dogs), put back the shredded cheese (since i have nothing to make tacos, except hamburger) & the ice cream (it’s so good).  If i put those things back, my total would’ve been $12.05.  But whatever.  It is what it is.
Now i’m good on groceries until after I get back from my trip.  All except for Marcel’s EXPENSIVE brown rice.  Only to be found at HMart.  That tastes as close to white rice as can be.  $22.89 for a 15lb bag.  UGH!  That’s where the pasta & Hamburger Helper comes in…maybe I can stretch the rice that we have.

Albertsons Trip Plan

So today I’m planning on taking a trip to Albertsons to shop for the week (& then some for when we get back from our trip, because we’ll be broke as hell.  and did i mention that we’ll also be on summer break, meaning i’ll have BOTH kids all day ew)
Today, I had heard that there were 2 inserts:  Red Plum & SmartSource in the Sunday paper.  Last week, I saw on a blog that the Seattle Times was running a special “Get the Sunday paper delivered to your door for $0.50/paper for a year.”  That adds up to $26.00.  So i signed up for that, because that’s a savings of $1.50/week - $78/year.  However, I should’ve thought about it a little more & signed up Marcel too, so i can have 2 papers.  Oh well.  I went & bought an extra 2 papers today.
In today’s Sunday paper was a small 1 page ad for Albertsons. And on the back are THREE store coupons that say “Twice The Value.”  As mentioned yesterday, this coupon will double your manufacturers coupon.
Right now, if you buy any 10 participating General Mills products you save $5 instantly ($0.50/per item).  So i’m getting my 10 items to get the cheaper price & then stacking coupons on top of the cheap price.
So for that particular scenario….

#1 “Twice the Value” coupon - Save $0.75 when you purchase 3 Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, Chicken Helper products.  When you do the purchase 10 deal, the price becomes $0.99/each x 3 = $2.97.  Then double the $0.75 coupon, making it $1.50 off.  Making it $1.47 for 3 boxes or $0.49/each box.  (My running total is: $1.47)
#2 “Twice the Value” coupon - Same deal.  (Running total is: $2.94)
#3 “Twice the Value” coupon - Save $1.00 when you purchase 2 boxes of General Mills cereal.  When you do the purchase 10 deal, the price becomes $1.88/box x 2 = $3.76.  Then double the $1.00 coupon, making it $2.00 off.  Making it $1.76 for 2 boxes or $0.88/each box.  (Running total is: $4.70)
Then I have a $1.00 off Gain Dish Soap, which should be around $0.99, making it FREE.
Seattle’s Best Single Can of iced coffee - last week there was a coupon for one free can - FREE
On my list, I have:
Hamburger
Chicken
Steak
Hot Dogs ($0.75 off)
Hot Dog Buns ($0.55 off)
Totinos Pizza (their $0.99 after buying 10 of those items as mentioned above)
Chips
From “on my list” list, I have to make it add up to about $15.  Why?  Because remember yesterday’s post?  I now have $10 off a $25 purchase.  So i’m trying to bring my total to as close to $25 as I can.  I’m headed out to do my shopping in a couple hours & will let you know how it goes!!

I thought I’d try to keep track of my couponing & share my finds with who ever wants to follow.  So here we go.
I should probably start with the blogs that I follow:
And when I decided to seriously give this a try, I read this:
So, the other day I came across a post about “if you sign up with Albertsons Email Savings Program, get a coupon for $5 off your next $25 purchase.”  You can find that HERE.  So i signed up & printed up my coupon.  Mind you, I NEVER shop at Albertsons, but have been seeing some good deals there…better than Safeway in some areas.
Then 2 days ago, I came across THIS post for Albertsons.  And since my hubby uses Old Spice & I had 3 of the “Receive a free Old Spice Body Wash when you buy one Old Spice Deodarant” AND i also had a “$1.00 off purchase of any TWO Old Spice Deodarant”…I gave this deal a try.  When the 3 Body Wash’s & 3 Deodorants rang up, my total was somewhere around $20.94.  Which as you can see in the deal, ‘if you purchase $20 worth of Proctor & Gamble products, you’ll get a $5 off your next purchase CATALINA coupon.’
(A catalina coupon is the coupon that prints up at the register when you check out)
So because my initial total was over $20, I qualified for the $5 catalina coupon.  AND THEN the coupons came in.  The coupons zeroed out the price of the 3 body wash’s bringing my total to around $8.07.  Then came the “$1.00 off the purchase of TWO deodorants”…making I paid out of pocket $7.07 & received a $5.00 off my next grocery purchase, making it $2.07.
So now…I have $10 off my next purchase of $25 or more at Albertsons.  I’m going to stick to as close to $25 & see what I can come up with.
As soon as I gather my deals for my shopping trip, I’ll post them up here & then I can let you all know how I did.
Also, tomorrow in the Albertsons ad, there will be 3 - Twice The Value coupons.  This means that they will match any manufacturer coupon (up to $1.00).  Example:  let’s say we’re going to buy A-1 Steak Sauce.  it’s $2.89 at Albertsons.  i have a coupon for $1.00 off.  i take 1 of those Twice The Value coupons.  Now it’s $2.00 off A-1 Steak Sauce, making it $0.89 for the bottle.  In some cases, you can get some stuff for free, which is nice too!!
Happy couponing!!
